Well then, it can be done. I'm not actually sure if it saves labor time if you don't have aftermarket bumpers to remove but it would be the way to go if you also wanted to rust proof or address anything else on the frame.

Stock bumpers. Mostly I'm chasing fuel and oil leaks. I think the former is the fuel bowl and the latter the passenger side valve cover. Waiting for dye from Amazon to see if I'm right.
But I'm considering pulling the motor and completely going through it.
My interior is rather elaborate and without destroying it we decided to pull the motor from the front.
But if the van was gutted, I would have gladly pulled the body off... which would have led to even more stuff/work lol
But the 7.3 is overall easy to work on in place, obviously some components aren't so and that's when you pull body off or motor out and get EVERYTHING DONE.

Please let us know how the UV dye works out, photos would be great. I've used it in the past, and leaks jump out, but I've never used it in a cramped engine compartment.
