My 1998 E-350 front end was also swapped out with a 2014 front end (axle, brakes, etc.) and no problems on the stock 16" steel wheels (kept my original wheels after the conversion). The only reason I didn't mention it yesterday is that I have a dually and I wasn't sure if that made a difference (the wheels are dished). I can't speak to the rears, since I only did the fronts (but I CAN say that upgrading the front brakes alone made it a whole new stopping experience and I now have no desire to change the rear (drums).

Re: A Wheel question for 2wd owners
Same 16" wheels will work.
