Re: Alternator E350 PSD recommendations

DC Power 370A XP with faulty 14.2 V regulator. In process to swap for new replacement. My OEM alternator was on hand and works. My other alternator that went bad was the 270 xp by DC power, lasted 3.5 years. Will rebuild it as DC had excellent reviews on the truck forums for reliability.

This alternator fits perfectly, has a clutch adjust on demand, weighs 50% more than 270A. Well designed.

BTW - Ed at FICMrepair was very supportive in troubleshooting and made this process painless. Learned a ton too. Excellent customer service, excellent products. Highly recommended.

Robert Gaskell at Rob's NW Fleetservice NW - excellent mechanic. Hubbard, Oregon. Trucks are sent to him all over the NW. 95% of the trucks he services are 6.0 PSD. Rebuilds 2 a week on average. Longer for van for obvious reasons. Has excellent reviews on truck forums too. Cost - IME very reasonable!
