Amsoil Dual Filter Bypass

I’ve been looking to add an oil bypass kit to my 2006 6.0. Looking at the Amsoil site I found they say specifically that their bypass kit doesn’t fit on the 6.0 vans. I sent an email to Amsoil tech support and received the following response;

“Thank you for your email.

AMSOIL does not offer the correct adapter plate to fit the 6.0L Powerstroke used in the vans. This filter housing is different than what is used on the 6.0L Powerstroke engine in the pickups.

We hope this is helpful.”

I’ve searched the SMB forums extensively and a number of members have the bypass kit on their 6.0s.

I am a new owner and know I have a bunch to learn, but what at am I missing? Seems like the kit install would be straight forward, once a suitable filter mount location is identified.

Thanks for any and all advice.

The adapter was made by SMB West along with a AMSOIL distributor. So I would call SMBW or Field Van. Also a note some of the old adapters were marked in reverse flow so if you get an old one take care to get the correct flow direction.
