Axle Code 34, Rear GAWR #6084, Full Float?

I've been looking at some potential vans on-line, most have axle code #34.
I can find this is an open 3.73 ratio on the axle code tables.

I can't find if it is full or semi float. I am assuming axle #34 is a full floater because the rear GAWR is quite high at 6084lbs. Can anybody confirm this?

When you ask sellers online, they have no idea what you are talking about and don't want to take a rear hubcap off.

Unfortunately the axle code doesn’t help because it only tells the axle maker and ratio. My van had the #34 axle code and came with the full float. What year and configuration are you looking at?

The 6,084 Rawr is simply the rear tire rating for 245 tires. The axle will be rated higher even if it’s a semi-float. 6,400 and change if I remember right for the D60. The FF and SF D60 have the same rating, it’s just the SF doesn’t tolerate overloading as well and has a potentially dangerous mode of failure when the bearings wear out.

The D70 full float is good for 7,800 pounds. That’s what mine came with (also with code 34).

Thanks. It is a 2007 E350 with a 5.4. Here is a picture of the door jamb sticker. It does have the "RV Prep Package," which I was hoping meant things like a FF and a sway bar, but as far as I can tell it has more to do with interior configurations.

Does it have RSC? There would be a badge on the back door (assuming the door was never swapped). Or an RSC button the dash above the cigarette lighter.

RSC was optional for 2007. Those vans will have a full float. None RSC vans got the semi float.

Thanks for the good info. The van does not have RSC...no badging or buttons present above the cigarette lighters.

Is it universally true, 2007+, that E350s with RSC also have a FF? That would be a helpful nugget of info if correct.

2005 through 2008 vans with RSC have full floats. 2008 also got the bigger brakes. Starting 2009 they went all semi float again.

So would a 2008 FF be a direct replacement then for the semi float on my 2011 E250 with RSC?
