breakin for Ford V10

Can anyone tell me if Ford recomends a "breakin" period for a 2007 V10? Such as avoiding a sustained high speed for the first 1000 miles, or something like that? The reason I ask is that my SMB is to be delivered to Reno next Friday and I would think there'd be a strong temptation to do a "pedal to the medal" sort of thing. I haven't received the owner's manual yet. I thought they were supposed to mail them a few days before the walk through. I know, call Greg.

I had the same concern when I had my van delivered to Reno. I spent some time with Greg and John on this and also the guy that delivers the rigs. I was assured that they are very aware of the break-in requirements and that they would be adhered to. When I went to Reno to pick up my SMB, I ended up behind my new van on the way in and it was being driven at a very sedate speed. I was impressed. So, I guess I'm saying that I don't think you'll have a problem.

The driver that I drove my van to Medford, OR from Fresno, (I actually did get to be the passenger), would turn the overdrive button on and off to make sure we didn’t stay at any one RPM for long periods of time.
