You’ll need a new one. I’d recommend biting the bullet and replacing all rear hat and ac lines at the same time. They get beat up by rocks and road salt, and usually when one fails, the rest are not far behind.

Yep---agree 100%! Sadly the lines running to the rear are problematic, just problems waiting to happen. It seems the A/C line are more prone to having issues, possibly due their higher operating pressures. I don't recall too many posts about the heating lines which to me would be a bigger problem if they began to leak.

Some years ago while working with a van converter they would have fabricated hydraulic hoses with appropriate vehicle A/C fittings, route and secure them to the frame and body---that pretty much totally eliminated any problems with those lines. A local bus or limo repair shop might be able to help in this regard---I'm sure they deal with it frequently.

Good luck with this---I'm soooooooo glad I eliminated my factory rear A/C system completely.

I repaired a wear through leak in one of my high side lines with a 3/8" Swagelok brass union that is working well.

How long has that repair held up so far Scott? It would be an absolute huge benefit it it works over the longer term.

JWA- the repair has survived for a few months now but with a lot of miles offroad to accelerate the wear. The location was the killer for me as it was directly behind the driver side spring/shock tower in a very uncomfortable location to access and repair. Although it's not been a long time I am relatively confident that it should survive. The high pressure tube is pretty thick and can take a good bite from the fitting.
