Decent 5.4 Tune Up Package Deal

Recently found this kit through an eBay seller----if its all Motorcraft parts as advertised its not a bad deal at all: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tune-Up-Kit....c100290.m3507

Might be worth a look if anyone likes changing all COP's when/if just one goes bad.

No affiliation or association---it was just part of a search for new injectors I was conducting at the time, thought it might be helpful.

JWA, thanks for the link/inspiration to check out ebay.

Having checked out their 10 (vs 8) sets, I *think* that the set you link to has aftermarket coils, though it does have MC plugs. The seller, tuneup_set, has similar packages with $300 difference, between "High Performance Ignition Coil DG508" and "Motorcraft Ignition Coil DG-508".

for example:
$154.79 for "set of 10 High Performance Ignition Coil DG508 + 10 Motorcraft Spark Plug SP479" at:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/set-of-10-H...MAAOxyVLNSyr-l

VS

$444.79 for "10 Motorcraft Ignition Coil DG-508 + 10 Spark Plug SP-479 Ford V10 6.8L" at:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Motorcra...EAAOxygPtSxtjG

One purchaser of the Motorcraft coils package says the coils weren't marked in any way to verify they were OEM, and perhaps that's just the nature of how the MC coils are manufactured or packaged.

It is a bit misleading - but nonetheless, still a great price on each - thanks for calling our attention to these sets.
Anne

Agree Anne----but some don't care what parts they thrown into their vehicles, assuming if it fits it'll work.

And as with all things eBay buyer beware. eBay has been and will continue being a good source of some parts for me but I start my searches with a specific part in mind and go about finding it.

Good research Anne--thanks for sharing your findings!
