I agree with Rob on this one.
After our first extended expedition I watched the forums listed in my reply to your origional request for information.
What I noticed more often than not is that those who chose to modify their 6.0L's almost invaribly had major problems, including turbo, injector, headgasket, transmission and other failures.
Based on their experiences I took the safe course, and rather than mess with my engine and drivetrain, I added EGT and Trans Temp gauges.
On our second extended tour of the South and West these two gauges relieved any doubt that the E350SD, 6.0L PSTD, and the Torqueshift.
More gauges are in the future including coolant temp, fuel pressure, lube oil temp, Ampere, boost, power steering fluid temp, and more, not necessarily in that order.
Think long term durability.
