Sounding like it'll be easier, in spite of having to buy and run bigger cables, just to upgrade the single alt and tie it to the house bank/inverter/controller using Blue Sea gear.
Before I go buying, I need to confirm amps I need. Does anyone know how many amps it takes to run a 7.3 w A/C, lights, radio, wipers, and the engine? I'm guessing about 90?

I have a 7.3L (Excursion) but I honestly don't know the amperage requirement. I would guess that it's lower than 90A, if for no other reason than most alternators don't put out that much juice at idle. I'm curious what the answer to your question is though.

Just did a full cooling system service on my 7.3L Went with the dual alt (ambulance) upper radiator hose even though I only have one alt, because that hose goes around the outside of the belt, rather that through the interior loop of the belt. Much easier to change a belt without having to deal with removing a radiator hose.
