Precisely why I keep my SMB manual in the Van as a resource... in case I'm faced with repairs on Frankenstein's automotive equivalent.

lol
I get it. I drag my FSM with me (all three volumes). I’m too cheap to rely on the CD option (FSM), plus the tactile part of Holding a manual engages me more

When I did the upgrade on my 1998 I reused the ABS sensors from my original front end instead of the ones from the upgraded (newer) parts.

Same here, because QuadVan kept the sensors for the 4x4 axle, but very possible they were not the same anyways.

I have spent the evening doing a little “recon”. I looked through my Receipts and determined that I Definitely installed new Motorcraft Sensors for ‘08 … you know, to ‘go’ with ‘08 Rotors.

Checked every Cross Reference / Supercede / Substitute reference in my lists of resources. They do Not interchange … at all.

So, the (‘03) PCM for ABS might be calibrated differently/needs (different) signal. This leaves my obvious (?) next step: to order ‘03 and try them. If it changes nothing, the Issue is elsewhere, and I flushed $100.

Lessons learned are seldom Free

HUGH thanks for JWA for the page-1 2013 post with complete Bill of Materials! I read pg1 through pg3 like 10x.

I'm very happy you two found this post helpful---that's quite gratifying and the very reason I put that effort out!

Thankfully the questions outside the intended scope have mostly subsided so we're back to discussing (mostly) just this particular modification or upgrade.
