E4OD Help in PNW Wanted

My wandering gypsy daughter is headed to Seattle to make some money and the E4OD in her E-350 SMB clone has been giving her troubles. She replaced valve body, plunger, and filter (in a Brooklyn, NY side street, by herself) before heading out but is still having weird shifting issues.

I'd appreciate any pointers to places in the PNW for overhaul or replacement that I could pass along to her. If you've got someone you trust (or a known good tranny sitting around), please let me know.

Thanks

Here is a link to a map of the 'recommended" repair shops Forum Members have already endorsed - as well as Ford Dealerships...may come in handy if repairs are warranted prior to reaching the PNW (on the left you have the ability to select/deselect categories to overlay):

Depending on potential repair expense, the Brewery feature is extremely helpful

Thus lucas transmission fix helps shifting problems. I did the complete transflush recently (very dirty fluid) on my 2000 V10 and there was a strange reverse problem. Fixed it immediately.

Worth a try.

You don't mention year of the rig or if it's gas or diesel. If it is a mid 90s E40D, there are issues that transmission shops are well aware of and there are several upgraded parts that can be installed. Heat is the trans killer and if the van has a history of towing or heavy loads that might contribute to failure. Still, my original E40D 94 E150, 5.8L is still doing well at 275K.
