Awesome and thanks carringb.

My confusion comes from looking at the Ford parts sites and seeing all the FF axles listed as NON-RSC or the SF version listed as RSC. So I assumed there was no way to put em in there, like maybe there is a port missing for a sensor. But if the RSC works off the ABS, then no issue.

My current SF is rated at 6400lbs, so I would only gain 1400 I think. I am also told Ford beefed up the bearings on the SF in the later years.

Every time I see a FF axle my mind starts spinning. Kind of the last thing I would want on there.

That axle sure would be nice on my van!!

Pre-'08 full float axle would not be compatible with RSC, unless it came off an RSC van. I think that's why they initially broke out parts listings that way, since it did matter for those first few years of RSC.

It's down the street from me. While not ideal as I was looking for the wider axle, for the price I may just pick it up.

I was at Ferrals auto wrecking in Mt Vernon Wa yesterday, and they still have a full floater with disc brakes and I think a 3.73 ratio. It's sitting under a van that looks to be mid 2000's. I think they want $250. The same van has a set of pop out rear windows that I'm going to pick up today for $60 ea asking price.
