Fuel filter leak?

Is this one of the fuel filters? I googled and I find that the primary is in the frame real with the pump and the secondary is in the engine bay.

This is under the driver seat area.

It started leaking and I’m guessing the O ring just went bad?

That looks like the fuel filter/water separator that was on my 6.0 van. The plastic piece with the nipple is so you can drain any water out. If I remember, when you get a replacement filter it should come with a new o ring, at least the OEM filter did. Definitely recommend you stick w Ford OEM filter. The other filter is in the engine bay.

Yes O ring. (And that’s a 6.0 diesel) How long have you had the van, as you should be replacing that filter quite regularly, (and it comes with new O ring). for the O ring to go, probably means you haven’t been keeping up with changing it. I change that one every 10k and the one in the engine bay every 15 to 20k.

Yup, if you haven’t been regularly draining water, it’s a good time to start saving up for new injectors…

I just got the van a few months ago. Only put a few hundred miles on it since owning.

Anyone have a good part number? Doesn’t seem to be readily available at Autozone.

But I usually buy 4 or 5 sets at a time along with oil filters, trans filters and water filters from here

Fuel filters well worth their price. Some of use run a third.
