RE: Banks new design diff cover---he certainly dug into this at a level his competition will be hard pressed to dispute or deny has any validity. I mean its all in the videos and temperature figures right? Even though the tried and true differential covers seem adequate over the past 60-70 years maybe today's vehicle usage and newer lubricants call for something "better"?

I hate to admit but very, very rarely if ever have I checked or changed rear lube---hope to NOT continue that neglect now.

That's an interesting looking piece for certain. For the money and ease of use I went with the Yukon part.

Do keep in mind it seems the Dana 50,60, & 70's all take the same cover or at least from what I gather looking at the various configurations and bolt patterns of the different designations.

Thanks for the pix jwa! Looks close enough to oem that the sling trough will still perform as intended.

Not in the market right now but last time I had the van on a lift I noticed a wet spot on the rear diff. Not enough to leak or puddle but will need addressed. Figured it would be a good time to add a cover with a drain.

Just about any time works to install or re-fit one of the covers with a fill and drain plug. Were I not already in process replacing my SF rear axle I might have not done this at all.

Priorities, priorities, priorities huh?

I'm VERY rarely a Form over Function person, and I just as rarely like decorative crap on any of my vehicles, but I remember when these diff covers came out. Some serious artwork, but no idea about functionality. BTW, the company has been out of business for years, probably due to the cost of the diff covers.

WOW! Very Very disappointing they're out of business, I would have bought that Grizzly immediately.
Bittersweet - No idea what the price on those was, but would have been worth every penny to me. On the other hand, wish you never shared that link Herb, I'm destined to relive this frustration every time I see a diff cover.

What kind of money did those sell for Herb?

IIRC, they were in the $400-$500 range.

Despite their unique-ness that's a lot of money even for a one-off decorative part. I'm sure the interest wasn't nearly as high as the price.

When I put my D70FF in I also wanted to put a Dynatrac Cover on. It would not clear the larger ring gear of the D70 4:10. I wonder if the Yukon or ARB would clear and after Banks videos I'm not sure it would be an improvement. Just stuck with the stock cover. Replacing the lube only gets done very infrequently and you can't even really see it from the drivers seat.
