I stand corrected. It's been a lot of years since I've looked at this issue on my van. Auto Enginuity shows the fault as Passenger Occupancy Sensor open but I can fix it by repairing the wires under the seat described in this thread. Which in fact is the pre tentioner. I don't know weather my van has passenger occupancy sensors like my other vehicles do but I've never seen a wire for it, and I've had that area all apart before.

Where I'm heading with this as to help Annie O is to look beyond just what the diagnostic tools are saying for the problem. Sorry for the confusion.

Great info, gentlemen. If the circuit was damaged I imagine its my doing. This is a huge help tho. Wont be able to dedicate time until next week but I will keep you updated... kicking myself for not learning to use a scan tool when it weas first recommended to me a few years back!
