Re: How many miles do you have on your 7.3

my buddy has just shy of 350k on his 97 f350. its chipped, has an intake, 3.5 dp & 4" exhaust, and he added a bigass intercooler. he had to rebuild the tranny at 230k. he hauled large 5th wheel trailers around the west for a few years. truck was a true workhorse back then, now it only hauls badass cars around to races, lol. his luck & experience with his truck was my inspiration to keep searching till i found the elusive 7.3 eb.

we got our 03 7.3 eb with 147k late in 2012 and currently have 158k on the ticker. 4" turboback, and ts tuners 5 way tuner are the only engine mods. only other engine mod planned is an air intake. other that that, gauges for monitoring vitals and mods that will keep the ole girl running.

last weekend was our 11th weekender camp trip this year since march. we dont get to go to all the wonderful places you see people posting about in the trips section, but were just fine with escaping the city most every weekend.

Re: How many miles do you have on your 7.3

556,000 on my 97 E350 7.3
Stock
Switched to Amsoil at 7500miles and never drained the pan till 500k. Just kept sending in oil analysis every 12,500. Would replace the filter and top off with new 15w-40
Tranny serviced every 50k with new filter. I would remove the return line to the cooler and run 1 qt out, stop motor, top off, and do gain till new oil came out. I know that I will need a rebuild sometime.
Van towed a 28' center console boat till 03 then a 32' Center console boat till this April. Total weight 24,142lbs when weighed in April.
Van is in body shop now getting a new coat of black paint, interior rebuild, shoes 305-70-16, and injectors "baby swamps" and glow plugs, 4" exhaust and an intercooler set up. Hopefully she will last me another 500k

187K. Bought at 161K. In those 3 years and 26K, my 7.3 sports OEM new: FICM (or the equivalent), water pump, start batts, fuel pump, fan clutch, vacuum pump and some other bolt on stuff I can't remember... but, by god, my block is original!

120k on my 2001. Tuner and new HD tranny is all I've had to do. New exhaust and DP in a box waiting for me to do.

275K on my 7.3. Bought it at 243K. Engine is relatively stock aside form hpx, frx and dp tuner. Looking to do 4" exhaust and a better intake. Have to drop the tranny soon and rebuild it with a 4x4 tail shaft so i can finally install my transfer case.

Impressive! Is this on the STOCK injectors? And you seriously have NEVER changed your oil since 7500 miles?
