I put a 4" diamond eye full system on my 2002 7.3 EB my van has no emission system from the factory.
I wrapped the entire system with muffler wrap.
The kit muffler is a droner.
I changed mine to a Aero muffler and like it much better. I did notice a slight loss of low end power, due to the 4" downpipe, but not a big deal. With a chip you would never notice it. I have a DP tuner now and will be changing it to a Hydra this spring.
I don't have any concrete EGT numbers to compare before and after but when towing I could go further up a steep grade before temps got high.

Don't get a chip without a EGT gauge!!
Don't tow over 3,500# without a tranny gauge!!

What about tranny modifications? I think the chip will increase the oilpressure in the tranny. If the tranny is already modificated to have higher pressures, will it than eventually be too much? What do you think, the hydra seller tells me that standart tunes are fine for this, but i am a little afraid.

Does anyone know if the hydra tuner / programming allows you to compensate for gear ratio and tire size changes (calibrate the speedometer). I hope to get my 2000 E350 with 7.3 a little closer than the 11% or so it's off right now.

If your speedo still runs off the tranny (not from a transfer case) you can get driven gears for the 4r100 speedo from 16-23 teeth to get pretty close as long as you're not geared crazy high or low (I'm running a 23t for 5.13 gears and 35" tires, but would need a 25t, which doesn't exist, to be accurate.) You only need to remove 1 bolt to pull it out and check the tooth count of what you have in there now so you can calculate what you need, and you won't lose fluid in the process. From there, you just pull an e-clip off the remove the gear, slip the new gear on, replace e-clip, slide it back in the tranny, and reinstall the single retainer screw/plate.
