Canyon Sportster: Although there is much discussion of a fuel pump inlet screen, no one has posted a picture of it. So I am doubtful that it exists.* The injectors don't have screens.
So that leaves only the screens in the tank (which should be removed during the Hutch Mod) and the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) fuel/water separator filter in the valley between the valve covers.
Yes, there is a high pressure pump (the HPOP), and it does have a small screen, but it does not pressure fuel, rather it pressurizes oil. The 7.3L is not a common fuel rail system. The 7.3L is a HEUI system ("Hydraulically Actuated Electronically Controlled Unit Injector") in which each injector is responsible for pressurizing and atomizing the fuel for its cylinder only. Each injector does this by a plunger much like in a medical syringe. The high pressure pump (HPOP) merely pressurizes the oil which, when the armature on the injector is electrically activated, opens a valve to let the oil rush in to push the plunger down to shoot the fuel out the seven very very very small nozzle holes, thus atomizing the fuel to be burned, into the cylinder.
