I don't think this size in E was available until recently.

Perfect for the Quigley which has less clearance up front for larger tires.

I think those were available a year ago when I bought mine. I went with the 265/70/17, but may go with the 285 next time. Even with the 265s, my front tires rub the plastic air dam at the front of the wheelwell on my stock front bumper sometimes. I just haven't trimmed them back yet. If I go to the 285s, I will definitly need to trim the plastic.

When they came out probably depends on tread pattern, tire size,...
