"Lifetime" fuel filter on a 5.4

A quick google search pulled up a lot of fuel filters for an 09 350 5.4

Thanks for the quick google. I've done that, too, but these parts warehouse databases are notorious for bringing up useless results. Of all the results yours brought up, only the last one listed an '09 5.4 filter. The first 11 did not even state that they would fit - they were all 10's and 6.0's - and my guess is that the last one is a mistake.

As I said, a Ford mechanic - one of the best on the east coast and one who probably would have loved to install the filter since I specifically requested it - he could not find it. I could not find it. The 09 factory manual states that it's part of the sender unit and a "lifetime" model.

I would love to be wrong here, but so far it appears that Ford's manual is correct, but thanks for the google, anyway. Between this whole forum, I may get some confirmation.

Is there anybody else here with an 09 5.4?

On my 5.4 it's under drivers door on inside of frame rail there is 2 bolt holding a cover over it. Look really close. It's right in front of old contol arm mount.
