Mag Hytec Trans Pan
For those of you with the Mag Hytec Transmission Pan's , I was shown the correct way to check your capacity's yesterday at Bob's Brake & Allignment , This method was researched and validated by Hubert and Manny . I had never read or heard of this technique and it made a lot of sense ! I was going to post it but Felt that I might omit something so call Bob's and have them explain the procedure to you , it take's two people to correctly gauge your fluid level's
accurately . 1 (310) 370-1475

Re: Mag Hytec Trans Pan
Greggde, can you tell me why there is a different method to check the level of your fluid? I don't have the same pan you have but I do have a larger after market Pan.

Re: Mag Hytec Trans Pan
daveb ,
To accommodate the greater depth of these after market pan's with the stock Ford length
transmission dip stick's , this was something that I wondered about from the time of installation of the Mag Hytec Pan . I was watching Hubert and Manny do their PDI prior to my leaving their shop and asked what they were doing , at which point they explained this process
of checking the fluid level .

Re: Mag Hytec Trans Pan
Maybe that style of pan is different than mine because it appears mine reads the same as the original stock ford pan (at least I hope so). Zilstra's did mine and they claim the level check should be the same as stock. But thinking about it, you're supposed to check it with the engine running while in park. Do you think that have something to do with the level? I would like to see the procedure if you ever get a chance to post it.

Re: Mag Hytec Trans Pan
Hello Greg, Sorry about the late post but I wanted to find the correct bulletin on the correct procedure to check the Transmission level on the Mag Hytec Trans Pan. If you go the MagHytec.com you will find it in the "install" section under Ford it's bulletin F5R110/F4R110.

I can't even find the "Install" section, let alone the bulletin. Anyone more skilled than me that can find it?

Re: Mag Hytec Trans Pan
Not sure if this is it:

Note that the last number is 100 not 110.

That's to Jage's post, I figured out the problem.
The correct site is http://www.mag-hytec.com (with the hyphen). Without the hyphen takes you to another site. Here are the full install instructions and fluid level instructions from the site.
