Problem is, all those threads are super old by this point (heck, this thread is no spring chicken). Here in 2020, I'm trying to decide between the 2.8L Duramax diesel and one of the gas engines on the Chevy Express/GMC Savana. I plan to have a pretty lightweight build and fuel economy is a concern (don't care if it isn't a sports car and I don't intend to tow anything). Should I just post in one of the Chevy/GM forums on the web?

There’s a 2.8 Duramax listed here right now if you’re looking for 4x4. Good point though, not sure if the 2.8 has been discussed at all. Seems like a good option if economy is your concern.
