Wow those pics show intense inclines!
I’m so glad you and your van are ok.
Yes well that’s one Big thing people forget that All vehicles made for real off roaring have LOW gears because for steep steep inclines, the engine won’t have enough power in regular low, which may also be needed for starting from a stop when pulling super heavy trailers.
Plus we sure do load our vans often weigh more than we think.
Our vans sure are amazing for what they can do without the low gears.
Sometimes a vehicle’s reverse can be a lower ratio than first gear. I’ve seen where people were able to back up our of a steep incline where they couldn’t going forward. Lol
I’d say stick with what you got or otherwise get what you want already done in another factory van.
Update: Oh now I see you posted you found a low rpm problem.
I often high rev heavy acceleration when driving so I’d know as soon as that was a problem.
Sounds like your cat is clogged with carbon or has fallen apart inside. Hope it’s an easy fix for you may can just hollow it out the inside and call it good.
Take care
winder towing (they have large youtube channel) came to the rescue.
Mechanic confirmed it was the cat being clogged.
Cat is getting swapped for a magnaflow.
Without the clogged cat it would have probably made it, but still dumb to go down that hill. I'm just so used to my 4runner.
The 360 is a beast and has all kinds of potential, it's just all corked up in stock trim, start with the very restrictive exhaust and then get a flash tuner for the ECU, 320hp is a good starting point for the 5.9L mopar

Very good, factory converters have a catalyst with anywhere from 700 - 800cpsi or cells per square inch, i think the magnaflows are around 200cpsi which make a huge improvement
