For extra credit, how about explaining why?

How is performance/driving with two fewer cylinders?

How is the mpg?

Is it taller? I.e., did you have to do a body lift to fit the 6bt in?

Pics will be taken! We're using a 96 12V, just swapped everything from the core engine to the new jasper unit. We're doing this conversion for a few reasons. The 7.3 in Jeff's van was worn out @215k due to lack of maintenance so a new engine was needed. I brought up the idea of the cummins swap and jeff said lets do it!!!!!

I will say now that I won't be offering any type of kit for this swap. I'm undecided on whether we'll do another. It's a ton of work, so we'll see how it goes. Always hard the 1st time!!!

You might be onto something there Chris! That motor just looks like it is designed to last 500,000 miles and they have good fuel consumption too I hear.

are you going to try and mount turbo back on in stock location or relocate?

Thanks guys, we're learning a lot! We're going to play with the turbo mounting, need it lower and under the manifold for clearance. Trying to source one today, if not we'll just make it! There's a good bit of room on each side of the motor, will be easy to work on in the future.
