Out with the Old and In with a Cummins

While my Van is at Ujoint and having Chris do a 4x4 upgrade word came that my 7.3 engine has just given up the ghost. Faced with a rebuild Chris mentioned the idea of putting in a Cummins instead.

Heck if he is willing to do all the modifications needed to swap the old out and put in a Fresh Rebuilt Cummins I thought i would go for it.

I just received word from Chris that my Cummins engine has arrived and he will be getting to work
on it shortly.

I know others have expressed an interest in knowing more about putting the Cummins into a Van.

I asked if he would be happy to share the information if other members had an interest at this forum as the gang over a the Expedition Portal wanted Chris to share his experience in doing this.

So simply reply if you would like him to share with you all on this great forum.

Re: Out with the Old and In with a Cummins

I for one, would like to see this build thread with pictures and all. I am having issues with my 7.3L as well. What version Cummins is Chris installing?

Re: Out with the Old and In with a Cummins

I hope Chris is taking a bunch of pictures of this conversion. I'm sure a lot Forum members are very interested in a Cummins conversion. A well documented conversion thread would be a big hit.

I will be keeping an eye on this one. It would be nice to have pre fabbed engine mounts.
