Reprogramming Engine Profile for V10 E350

I replaced the original chip with one from DP Tuner when Jody was owner but was wondering if it is possible to reprogram this for any better fuel mileage. DP Tuner no longer supports this engine. Any suggestions?

I have 5 star tuning. The 87 performance tune got me about 1 mpg better and a whole lot better shifting. Highly recommend

when I had my 2005 E350 v10, five-star did the tunes and increased 2.5 mpgs (w/ 93 octane) and a metric shit ton of more usable horsepower and way way better trans operation.

Haven't tried the high octane tunes, but now I want to. My van is plenty fast. A little slow out of the gate with the 3.73 and 33" tires. But after the tune I also got down about 200 RPM at 80 MPH. I like that.

With the LSD and 3.55 on 93 oct tune power sliding from a stop was easy lol
Reaching triple digit speeds was easy too...
Get a 93 tune!

What kind of tuner is the DP tuner? Is it an XCT? Post a pic if you're unsure.

Everything I've read concerning Mike @ 5 Star Tuning is nothing but glowingly positive, almost never a bad comment regarding his programs or customer service. Here's a few comments from those who are using one of his tunes: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...at-5-star.html

I don't own a V10 but if I did this modification would be one of the first things added. Besides how well Mike's products work his commitment to working with customers even after the sale is impressive, willing to tweak something for an individual without additional cost.

I'm not affiliated, just a big fan of someone so dedicated to his craft!

I'm not sure, Scotty, but I have the original box and info and will take a look and post. When I had the transmission rebuilt by John Wood, the shifting with stock chip was way off, so he contacted Jody at, DP and had them set up a chip, which I spcified "performance". Shifts beautifully, but I'm concerned another tuner software may upset that parameter.

A bit of additional info. The chip in the ECU is from Superchips and was programmed by DPTuner and sent to me and I installed just the chip. Did not buy the tuner itself. The main reason for getting this in the first place was because the trans did not shift right after the rebuild with the OEM chip in (John Wood Transmission, different TQ converter, valving, etc.). So it improved the shifting way beyond event the stock van. There are other tuner/devices recommended to me also:

https://www.diablosport.com/
https://superchips.com/
https://5startuning.com/

Prices vary greatly. Rather than buying the device, would it be possible to just send someone the chip and have it reprogrammed?

Main aim would be better MPG, but here are some improvements done in the past that may not make it possible:

Larger tires (285)
JBA Shorty headers
AFE Magnum Force air intake
Banks Catback Exhaust

Experts and users please give this novice some perspective on this and what you would do.

I'm running a tune from 5 Star and my 02 V10 gets about 8mpg city and 10hwy no matter what. I do have 4.56 gears and 35s so I'm not too concerned about the economy to begin with!
