Re: severe battery issues.

I put a 220 in mine from DB Electric and the product came in a timely fashion. I cannot say the same for my order from DC Power Engineering. I placed an order with them on June 10th and after a couple of weeks and several calls the product still hadn't shipped. I canceled the order on the 24th of June and asked for a refund as I'd been charged in full on the 10th of June. I called and emailed numerous times and was told every time the same line I was given about the product when I ordered it, "it should happen by the end of the week." It is now July 11th and I still haven't seen a refund and have disputed the charge with Amex.

As for the alternator I got from DB, it seems to be working as it should and its amazing the life that is back in my van. It actually seems to have more throttle response if that's possible. My mechanic did not upgrade the wiring and didn't seem concerned about it although we did discuss it.

Re: severe battery issues.

WhitH, could you post the link to the DB unit? I looked on their site today but it wasn't totally clear to me which unit was the right one. Was it this one?

Also, doesn't look like it'd be too hard to replace. Any troubles?

Re: severe battery issues.

I got this one http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-9872-alte ... er-04.aspx . Keep in mind I've only had it for a week so I can't by any means vouch for long term performance or durability. So far it seems to work well and according to my mechanic it was a perfect fit. I've changed an alternator before myself, but I got a headache just thinking about trying this one...I think he billed be for about two hours for what it's worth.

Re: severe battery issues.

Thanks a ton. I guess I'll have to give 'em a call to make sure since mines a year earlier. Wish me luck.

Re: severe battery issues.

I called DB before I ordered the part and they were helpful in making sure I got the right one. Best of luck.
