Shock quality

We have an 07 E 350 rb50 6L. It is factory equipped w/ Old Man Emu shocks, and we have a horribly rough ride on the interstate and secondary roads unless extremely smooth pavement. On my latest trip I aired down on the hwy to 53rear and 45 front and still think it's rough.
Can anyone give me an opinion and the quality range of shocks ie: #1Bilstein, #2 Emu, etc?
I have read the shock posts but have not found anyone who has found the solution. Rough riding in Ohio.

My ride improved greatly with new springs. Unfortunatly the shocks came afterwards so I can't vouch for their effect- although at least one of the emu's was trash at 55K.

Sounds like you need to switch over to an adjustable shock.. like a Rancho RS9000 or other comparable brands.

I switched from Emus to heavy duty Bilsteins on the Sporto.
Its about the same. Still have the Emus on the Landcruiser.
I'm at 43 rear and front.

We switched to Bilsteins all around at around 30K-40K and have been very satisfied with them, especially off-road on wash-board roads.

Our Sportsmobile was set up with the Rancho adjustable shocks. I am very pleased with them. they have a 9 position dial. I have found that 7 is great on blacktop, and 1 or two is fine for off road, and washboard dirt roads. oclv

we too swapped out the rancho's for the Bilstein shocks and the ride was definitely a bit better all-around.

Are these shocks for Quigley or SMB 4 x 4? I have OME springs & shockes but can't find a Bilstien model # to use without modifications to my SMB 4 x 4 system.Any help?
