SMB Mechanic San Diego, Cali area

Hi all, new to this forum and looking at getting my first SMB soon! Super excited!!
I was wondering if any of you knowledgable experts had a mechanic in my area they could recommend. Never had a vehicle like this before so wanted somebody i could trust. I love referrals, especially from experts on this forum.
I would be interested in using them in the future for repairs as well as hire them to come with me when looking for a used one to purchase. I've read through the different posts about what to look for...but looking for someone to check out the engine/trans, etc. Just another set of eyes, with more experience then mine to make sure im not purchasing a money-pit(well at least more then it will be anyways )

Thanks in advance,
Lucas

If you want one checked out, I would be glad to look it over with you.

If you need a repair shop in San Diego I have recommended my friend Gary Lumblade at Blade's Automotive (619-298-2595) in the Sports Arena area to others on the forum and they have been happy with him.

If you are looking at a 2004+ 6 liter diesel you should also include trying to find out its repair history and if it has any of the popular aftermarket improvements.

Hello all- thought I would just post on this old thread. Does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic in San Diego area? Preferably north county.
Thanks.
