Arctic, sounds like a rather brutal route to hopefully get you taken care care of. Looking forward to your update once the "new" springs are mounted and tested with a few thousand miles...

This thread was one of my reasons to just get the "off the shelf" RIP and be done with it. Of course I'll always have a lift block and associated wrap...

I don't expect any noticeable difference in the ride or handling. The Alcan progressive spring pack with the built in lift has provided a better ride than the old leaf pack with fewer leaves. My goal now is to just get it back to being level front to rear and will likely just add one more leaf with little effect on the spring rate. The rear has gained a little weight since the first Alcan springs, so a bit of additional spring rate won't hurt.
