The Engine and the Oil Leak(s) - Phil Long Ford

In December, I had the following performed on the 06 PSD SMB to stop all the oil leaks:
Bed Plate Gasket, HPOC STC fitting, front and rear cover gasket, high-pressure oil pump cover gasket, cam sensor IO rings and crank seal. My cost was $100, the deductable under the factory 100k warranty.

Last month I purchased the 200k 7-year warranty. With the latest round of mechanical failures (fuel injector pump), the deductable was 0 and they paid for a rent-a-car. I didn’t realize with this extended warranty took care of this before the 100k warranty ran out. The SMB goes back to the dealer in the morning for the problem they didn’t fix two weeks ago. They tell me my rent-a-car is waiting for me and there will not be a deductable.

I can tell the cost of the warranty is going to be money well spent. The way its going, I’ll recover the cost of the warranty before the year is out by not having to pay for the deductibles.
