This is getting ugly, The FINISH!

This what my SMB looks like today. It's at the dealer for a bed plate leak repair, along with head gaskets, an aftermarket EGR cooler, new oil cooler, and aftermarket studs replacing the head bolts, as well as a bunch of little pipes, valves and other thingies. Already had the rear end replaced last week. The engine is about to be pulled. I should have it back in a week. Ouch....

Re: This is getting ugly

That's the attitude I need to be around, Dave. Thanks!

5 years, 10 months or ownership, 45K miles.

Craig, our rigs always seem 'still new' to us if we bought them new. But, I WILL be back running, and camping soon. And this feeling will pass, no mater how horrible it is now.

Re: This is getting ugly

Dealing with it now, rather than a breakdown on the road, or off the road, makes it all worthwhile. Super solid and reliable.

Re: This is getting ugly

I brought it in for the rear diff repair, and told them to take a look at this little drip while you have it. That's what became the engine pull/bedplate leak fix. The rest of the stuff I'm simply doing as preventative maintenance while the engine is out. It's cheaper and wiser to do now. Those of us that keep up on the 6.0L diesel sites and understand the domino effect of these component failures will understand.
