Given the delays with OEM parts, Capistrano Ford recommended a local performance oriented shop. JW Transmission, a very small husband and wife shop. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the place and the types of performance off-road vehicles I saw there.
He confirmed the oil pressure dropping while hot and suggested an HD rebuild with upgraded converted, pump, clutches.... Cost was a bit lower than Capistrano Ford with 3yrs local warrantee.
Happy with the results, she runs and changes gears very smooth, took him two weeks. Will report again in a year.
PS I was very interested on ATS Diesel but didn't have the time to coordinate and shops wanted $$$$ just for the swap, thanks for the reference.
