Mahukaawe,

I have an '08 and had the same thing happen when I first programed the Scan Gauge. If you go the the companies web site there is a table of X-Gauge codes. There were 3 different codes that can be used for Ford trans. temp. The one that worked on mine was the last one, of course. Just keep trying them until you get the one that works.

Has anyone seen a Scan gauge installed on a 7.3 PSD on the. E series Ford? Apologies if this is a duplicate. It would seem that the trannie temp issue is a PSD problem because of its torque.

I don't think the transmission temp feature is compatible with the 2003 and earlier vans.

I have a 2003 7.3 PSD E350 and after programming the x gauge for TFT it works fine

Prior to dropping my van off at SMB West, I took it to Zylstra's and had a Mag-Hytec tranny pan and an Edge Insight Monitor installed.

On the trip from Zylstra to SMB West the temp ran at about 170. The van went back to Zylstra for a couple to address a couple of issues. Today I drove it back to SMB West from Zylstra's post conversion. Transmission temp was about 205. Not good.

Besides the Aluminess front bumper, I also added the transmission skid plate. My first thought was that the skid plate may be the problem. However, after re-reading this thread, I'll bet it is the bumper.

Great info on this thread. Looks like I'll be looking for some insulation and another cooler. Not sure how long it will be before my wallet recovers...

I have looked before for skid plates for my van and haven't been able to find anything. Did you buy this from SMB West?

Yes. I got two from SMB West. One that covers the bottom of the engine (mostly concerned with oil and transmission pans) and one for the fuel tank.
