Transmission whine

I have a 2014 e350 SMB 4x4 with a 5R110W TORQSHIFT 5 speed. The transmission makes a whining noise when shifting through the low gears. Anyone else have this issue? Is this normal? From my research is seems like some transmissions may sound like this. Was thinking about having the pan dropped and replacing the transmission filter, but the van only has 5300 mi on it... Appreciate the feedback!

I have a 2005 with the same transmission. Mine is just a passenger van and not built out, but I do have 4x4. The transmission doesn't make any noise with the van itself, but when I have my trailer hooked up (~7000lbs), it does whine in 1st and 2nd gear. As soon as the trailer is unhooked, the whine goes away. Not sure what the cause is or if it is in fact the transmission and not the rear end.
