Re: Twogone in Page with new fan- clutch always engaged

If the hammer fixes the problem should Marc have the fan clutch replaced? Is this a problem that will keep haunting him on his vacation?

The Ford dealer in Flagstaff is ok but Fry's Automotive is the ticket. They know Ford diesels inside and out, don't hate vans, and have worked on several of the SMBs that are in town. Talk to Jason. 928-527-7573.

I sure would be careful hitting it. Maybe use an extension or long piece of wood. Its probably gonna stick again and I'd hate to mess up the radiator or something else trying to unstick it. The fan is working and if he does something where it won't engage he might be in trouble. I'd leave it alone and go to Joe's buddy's shop

Tap it anywhere that looks solid. I'd probably use a long socket extension myself. If will probably continue to work fine unless it sits for a while.

Re: Twogone in Page with new fan- clutch always engaged

Update: Marc is out of the canyon and headed to Page. I encouraged him to whack his fan a few and see if it clears up as he heads that way- if not I guess it's dealership time. I'll update when I hear more.

Hey everybody, we're at Page. Fledgling steps on the iPhone.

Tried several whacks...off to the dealer in the morning. I'll report results.
Many many thanks for your posts.

Steady 8,000 cfs all week (for an aerial overflight) so not really big water but I'll bet House Rock was pretty sporty in the paddle boat

Re: Twogone in Page with new fan- clutch always engaged

One mile from Page dealer fan spun out and behaved normally. Irony. Talked with service, decided to keep moving. 180 miles later locked up again with engine rpm. In Zion today going to St George
, Utah tomorrow 6/5. Dealer reviews?

Otherwise having a blast in the Great Southwest!

Re: Twogone in Page with new fan- clutch always engaged

Seems to be only one Ford dealer in St. George. Didn't find reviews, positive or negative, in a quick search.

Ken Garff St. George Ford Lincoln
145 Hilton Dr
St George, UT 84770

Monday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
Sunday: Closed (along with just about everyhting in Utah)

Sales: 855-833-9800 (this number is plastered all over their website, but I found this other number deeply buried, and I think it's their service number 888-925-8899).
