Upper Radiator Hose

Someone recently replaced their upper radiator hose on a 7.3 w the longer one used on the ambulance pkg. I tried to find the post but could not. If that was you, please tell me where you bought it and the part no. If you still have it. My NAPA counterman can't find it, so far.

Re: Upper Radiator Hose

Gates P/N for the long hose (29.5") is 23308.

Re: Upper Radiator Hose

Thanks!

Actually just happenned to be good timing. I had the Rock Auto catalog open in another tab to buy a new set of ignition coils, so I just had to expand a couple more lines to see the diesel rad hose listings.

Lol, any car junkie worth his salt has pretty much always got the Rock Auto catalog open!

Seriously, your help is always appreciated around here. Are you a fleet service guy or a raft guide, or both?

Re: Upper Radiator Hose

Got it, thank you.

I'm now "worth my salt". Can't believe I never knew about RA! As I looked thru the catalog, it reminded me of a feeling I had once roaming the plaza in Santa Fe, just like Navajo jewelry, there's not enough money on the planet to buy all the parts you want.

Re: Upper Radiator Hose

I like Rock Auto, but I try to have the part number before going to their website. I find their part search very cumbersome.

Haha. Neither really. I'm a consultant specializing in risk management and business continuation, usually working for specialized construction projects. I was running a diesel shop for a while mostly for fun and it allowed me to stay and work in town for a while, since I potentially could be sent anywhere in the world (luckily, the construction boom has landed in Portland and looks like it will be hanging around a while). I raft competitively (oregonraftingteam.com, but also to put on trips for friends for fun.
