VAN IS DYING---HELP!

My 2000 7.3l van with 113,000 miles wont go 20 mph up a hill, pedal to the metal. Sometimes it even happens on the flat, pedal to the metal, starts to blow blue smoke and wont shift down. Fuel delivery has been ruled out after a new fuel pump installed and pressures varified. Transmission, Toque Converter, drive system ruled out. Replaced CPS, VSS. Exhaust back pressure valve ruled out. Since this has been happening, #2 has started to fail and no one seems to know why...no codes either. My van is dying and I need a Dr.!!! I am in Bellingham, Wa. and the best powerstroke guys in town are not able to help. Anybody ever have the same thing?????

Ouch! Wish I had some helpful words for you, but all I can say is let me know if I can help you in any way, since I'm the other SMB in B'ham.

Re: VAN IS DYING---HELP!

Thanks Brian. I have had it for one year and it was great all winter for snowmobiling and skiing. It (the engine) has now shit the bed. I am considering selling it to someone with more patience that I. Can't afford a big repair and payments...If you know of someone let me know. Toby.

Re: VAN IS DYING---HELP!

Double check the fuel inertia reset switch located behind the right side kick panel at the passenger foot well. I've seen these trip on a diesel and cause similar problems. I've also seen the fuel pump relay located in the power distribution box fail and have the same problem.

I hope this helps!

Re: VAN IS DYING---HELP!

Thanks so much. The more info the better! Would either of those send a code? That is what has me drinking heavily to ease my nerves. NO CODES to help!!! I will look into those suggestions. Much appreciated. Toby.

Re: VAN IS DYING---HELP!

Turbo hose popped off my 7.3 and it became a dog. I know it would be something obvious to miss for seasoned diesel guys, but it's the only thing I know that might be relevant. Good luck!
