Sheriff DOUG here on forum purchased a rebuilt [Bullitt Proofed] diesel from Ashville engines for his van before he exported it to Australia. I was recently looking at an E350 and was proposing to have some additional work undertaken by Bulletproof Diesel, FECM etc.

I’m really leaning towards the KDD engines but they are 14 weeks back ordered! They have 3yr warranty instead on just a 1year at Asheville engines. This will give me more time to think about my options. Once I take the plunge I will let everyone know. Thanks for all the inputs every one!

5year/100,000 mile able to hold 550 hp.

yeah, I spoke to Bud's diesel and they said they use this engine. I'm now deciding b/w this and Dynamic Diesel. They come with a 3 year/100K mile warranty also.

I probably wouldn't put too much into the warranty duration when making your decision, unless their warranties INCLUDE consequential damage. Except for assembly errors (which usually turn up relatively quick), the 6.0 internals are fine, and rarely cause issues. Nearly all catastrophic failures are caused externally (bad injector / FICM / HPOP / solenoid / sensor / alternator / fuel pump / turbo etc, and usually those warranties exclude consequential damaged from external failures.

Has anyone considered a Fuel Return on your setup? Is this worth it given that mods w/the Turbo and Injectors?

Here's what I've decided to do...

- Long Block Stage 2(either Dynamic Diesel or DFC(Tow/haul option)
- Titan Turbo
- Warren Fuel Injectors 155

I'd be interested to learn how one would address cooling a high HP engine stuffed in that engine bay? Hoping for a practical response I have yet to uncover in the last 4 years of searching for a solution.

Pretty sure I have that engine. Buds diesel did mine with a laundry list of upgrades including the full cryogenic treatment. Except for the failed meth injection solenoid that hydro locked my engine in the driveway it’s been flawless. Oh and the failed icp valve. The previous owner had it built for max towing and heat management. As was stated earlier getting the heat out is rough. When I had the meth removed I went with the aluminum radiator upgrade. Love following this thread.

Nice! KDD is at least 12 weeks backordered due to Covid.
