1/4 vs 1/8th inch plywood walls

Picture attached is example and not my van.

I am in the process of insulating and adding wood paneling to my 08' sprinter hightop. I have selected 1/4 inch plywood and this weekend I intend to install. I would like to know what is preferred 1/4 inch or 1/8th inch and assume weight to be the key factor. The sprinter provides good studs in which to screw directly to and mine even came with plastic side walls which I will use as template and reuse those screw locations.

People say use 1/4 so you can mount items to easier and others say use 1/8 as its lighter. I do have a good studs in which to screw into if I go 1/8.

Thats it... I need experience now to make the final call. Please help.

Re: 1/4 vs 1/8th inch playwood walls

I used 6mm (1/4 inch) and it worked fine. Have never tried 1/8th inch. I would have stability concerns (way less stiff) with 1/8th inch at joints and keeping them "crisp".
