12 volt toaster?

Does anyone have a 12v toaster? I did a quick google search and couldn/t find one. Maybe they pull too many watts? I've been using a cheap on top of the gas cook stove toaster but I'd like a plug in 12volt if they make one to free up my stove top.

Where did you find the gas cooktop toaster? Have been looking for one with no success.

I'm pretty sure Coleman sells one of those at Walmart type stores. It's just a rack basically I think.

Re: 12 volt toaster?

I have a toaster, it's 110v, but only 1300w... relatively lightweight.

There are a smattering of toasters and ovens available for big rig trucks in 12v, IIRC.

Here are a couple of links to 12 toasters. Have no idea how well they work.

Re: 12 volt toaster?

Speaking of 12v appliances.... the larger interstate truck stops typically have a section in the store that caters to long-haul truckers, stocked with all sorts of 12v appliances.

Re: 12 volt toaster?

Here is a cheap and unassuming toaster for the gas stove top. Compared to other versions this one works really well, others just dry the bread. http://www.rvplus.com/camp-a-toaster...FSFyQgodNEsA1Q

Re: 12 volt toaster?

I've been using this cheap over the gas range toaster:
http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___23102

But I want to get a 12vt reasonably priced plug in toaster that works well. Anyone out there use a 12 volt toaster that does not coast over a hundred bucks

Keep in mind that 12-v appliances require heavy-gauge wiring. You may be better off using an inverter with regular appliances instead, which allows you to keep the large-wires to a minimum (batt-->inverter) instead of running welding lead through the van to your toaster.
