3rd Water Pump in 3 weeks! What to do????

Took a leaking h20 pump to my local dealer due to lack of known diesel mechanics in my area. First pump failed in 10 miles. 2nd pump in 40 miles. 3rd pump goes in tomorrow. This is not mentioning that they fried my glo-plug #2 wire, sent me off with low ATF, and didn't put hoses back into harnesses....Need a place to vent. Any known issues with the 2000 7.3L blowing pumps??

I am on my orignal water pump and have 156k on 2000 7.3

Something is going on. Some more information might be helpful. Otherwise it is like me having 3 flats in a week and asking what is wrong.

What are the symptoms of the pump failure? Water on the ground? Overheating? Are all the failures the same? Leaking, from the shaft, from a fitting, a gasket?

Were the replacements cheap replacements or from the local Ford dealer?

Did you have any work done prior to the first pump failing? A belt replaced? Or?
