Anyone know how to work this?

So I bought a van with a heater already installed. I have no idea what the make or model of it is but this is a pic of the controller. I will have to pull an access panel to see the actual unit. It has a remote fob that seems to turn it on and change the output but would be nice to figure this part of it out. Ive tried pushing all the buttons and nothing seems to happen. Only the fob seems to have any effect.

Maybe a starting point for your search? No affiliation with the video.

For the basics of the Chinese diesel heater controllers this guy is easy to follow. Here is just a sample. Youtube is your friend with these heaters because there is no support or understandable instructions. Another good resource of info is the Chinese Diesel Heater Facebook Group. I would suggest lurking and reading the FB group for a while because they consistently roast noobs asking redundant questions. But there is a wealth of info there.

Not trying to rain on your parade but I have two of these in the workshop to toy around with and have an Espar D4 in the SMB for the last 11 years. The Chinese heaters work well but I'm not sure I'd put one in the van vs the Esbar. Just my opinion.

but it's not what rockets are built for.

I'll have to go and look at mine but there's a way that you can set it to thermostat setting. It's in Celsius so usually I run the one inside the van 17 to 21 C which ends up being I think 65 to 74°. I've got a 5K and it works my long body van with the rooftop up non-insulated fabric in 20° weather!!

Thanks for all the replies. I have tried doing what the guy in the video showed about hitting the settings button 3 times but nothing happened. In fact nothing happens at all when I push ANY of the buttons. I've tried pushing and holding, pushing once, pushing 3 times and pushing incessantly. Nothing....

I can get it to turn on by holding the power button down for several seconds. After that I can change something by holding the settings button down for several seconds. I think that is putting it into a thermostat mode. Pressing the ok button toggles the display from 000° C (increases as the unit fires up and goes up to something like 150° C), to 00° C (the value changes with the up/down buttons, to H1 - H6 (changes with up/down buttons) to battery voltages.
