A good point. The time component of power usage is often implicit and in my effort to be more explicit I was lead astray by the algebra in regards to units. This lead to my usage of Watts/hour and Amps/hour, etc. instead of Watt-hours/hour and Amp-hours/hour.
Recasting my definitions more properly leads to:
SP2412 2400Wh 12V-222Ah/hour or 3.7 Ah/minute from your battery (18.5 Ah for 5 min. shower)
SP3012 3000Wh 12V-278Ah/hour or 4.6 Ah/minute from your battery (23 Ah for 5 min. shower)
SP3512 3500Wh 12V-333Ah/hour or 5.6 Ah/minute from your battery (28 Ah for 5 min. shower)
Since the Eemax demand heaters noted here are 120V units, they would run off of the van's 120 volt AC system whether supplied by shore power, generator or appropriately sized (& wired) inverter pulling from the house batteries.
