Awning Window Screens

I have three small awning windows. The screens simply fall out.

Van went to SMB West yesterday to address various delivery issues to include the screens. When we spoke about the screens I got the impression this was a known issue.

The "fix" was to add Velcro. That didn't make it through the night for one of the screens.

So my question: Is this an issue known to the members of the forum? Any insight into solutions?

If it makes you feel any better, I don't have any screens for my large windows. Not sure if there ever were any or not, as I'm the second owner.

BTW, yeah we need to hit Big Bear sometime...

Re: Awning Window Screens

Mine have small clips that hold them in. On one occasion one of the clips fell off. SMB had the clips. Never heard of them using velcro. Heat and velcro don't mix too well.

Awning Window Screens

On day two they added some clips screwed in on either side. Looks like a good fix. At least they made it home...

Re: Awning Window Screens

We never had a problem on the awning window on our old SMB. I had a hek of a time taking it off to clean it. Like what Dave says, just a few clips.
