Bench seat removal, 2006 R50

I'd like to have good access under the R50 bench seat for plumbing repair (leak). I've read some of the commentary and propping the seat up about half way with a board may not give me enough space to work. When I look at the seat brackets/hinges, it looks like there's 2 nuts underneath on both sides and another sort of attachment at the bottom rear of each where it hinges to flatten out the bed (tight space and couldn't get a good look at it). It doesn't look like an easy job but if that's what I have to do, be great to hear whatever might be the easiest way and if it's a two person job. Thanks, appreciate whatever info you have to share.

I don't have an answer for you but a quick question... what is the width of the bench seat frame? From side to side of the van.

Also if you can take some photos of when you get access to it would be great. I need to cut and weld the current bench/bed sat. and I would like to see what it looks like under the seat as well as where the seatbelts are connected to.

Removing the seat for better access is a simple one person job. Just remove the nuts that hold the seat to the frame (requires holding the seat up at an angle). Then just lift the seat out of the frame. Reverse to reinstall.

I’ve done this many times to get better access. The biggest issue that I have is that I always seems to drop one of the nuts and then have retrieve it from some tight space.
