Best water boiler option?

Hi everyone,

I don't have a lot of experience camping and I was wondering what was the best option for boiling water when boondocking.
For a cup of tea or cup of soup, if I'm boiling water to cook pasta (bigger amounts) I'll use the stove (LP gas).

-Using a standard 110v boiler off the inverter?
-Using the stove (LP gas) to boil 1 cup of water?
-Using one of those 12V cup boilers? (see picture below)

What is the best option for batteries or cost effective?

i use a jetboil. doesnt get faster than that.

Jet boil is the best option. Super fast doesn't use very much gas.

Iwatani 15k btu single burner butane stove w a high efficiency camping pot. Stable, easy storage. Flexible / multi use.

Electric for water heating in a camper as primary water heating method is really not viable.

Do you guys use jetboil only for a cup of water or more? can you use it inside a closed camper?

Funny, this is the other stove I have, probably because you have posted it before. Ever have trouble wit hthe igniter failing? Just failed on me two weekends ago, basically fell apart. Other than that, between a large jetboil and that stove, I feel pretty covered.

They have many sizes. I use a bigger one so i can boil frozen, vacum sealed meals that I have prepared ahead of time. But i do boil smaller amounts for a french press.

My father uses a smaller one solely for tea. Id have no problem using it inside next to an open window

Space is premium so something that can be used inside and out makes sense. I don't carry a Jetboil but it looks like a great system and probably works better in windy conditions than the typical butane stoves. Still I didn't want to pack small fuel canisters so I went with a portable 1 gal propane tank. I carried the little butane stove for a while to make coffee inside. Worked well but I finally installed an RV propane stove top...it was an expensive way to go compared to storing a small stove but now there aren't a hodgepodge of fuel canisters stashed in the van.

What's the difference between these Jetboil burners and a regular cooktop?

This is the cooktop I installed (suburban 6,500btu + 5,200btu burners)

JetBoils (and similar models from places like MSR) are very efficient and boil water VERY quickly. The downside are they're made to work best with specially designed pots exclusive to that brand stove.
