Boxes mounted under bench seat - can you identify please?

Sorry for the perhaps dumb questions but can anybody identify these boxes installed under the bench of my 90 RB-ish SMB?

One has electrical outlets off the back which have never seemed to operate. (Inverter?) Nor do the other outlets throughout the van but I have never plugged into shore power - which perhaps is required to power those outlets? I've tried em with motor on and off, circuit breakers on and off.

Meanwhile all the van's other accessories, rear water pump, lights etc function properly - whether motor running or not.

Thanks gang,
J

I could be wrong but that looks like the box that contains the capacitors for the rear A/C.

See: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=14136

edit: I was referring to the last photo.

The outlets only work when you plug in to shore power. That circuit breaker controls the power to the outlets. One of the silver boxes (the one with the vents) looks like a power converter. If it is, then it should be plugged into an outlet neaby. When you are plugged into shore power, that convertor charges your house batteries.

^^what he said. Also, I believe converters will both charge the batteries and convert AC to 12v when plugged in to power all the 12v items without draining your batteries.
