cargo van bulkhead removal

I'm new to this site but it looks like a fantastic source of info. I'm in the process of purchasing a Ford E250 cargo van. My plan is to slowly convert this rig to a motorcycle hauling sportsmobile. The first question I have though is related to the bulkhead wall found in many of the used cargo vans I've located. Is it a pain to remove? On the same note, how about those built-in shelves that are also sometimes attached to the side walls? Any info. or someone with previous experience would be greatly appreciate.

Re: cargo van bulkhead removal

Mine had the bulkhead and shelves removed, BUT there were four heavy steel bars riveted into a ceiling rib and I had to drill the rivets out, one by one. Not a huge deal, but it took a bit of time.

Wear safety goggles if you do this. The splinters were flying.
